3 in 30 Challenge - July 2011, week 3

I came across the 3 in 30 challenge but I can't remember who's blog I originally saw it on (sorry).  This is how the challenge is described on the 3 in 30 site:
Do you have a wish-list, a to-do list a mile long, or even a bucket list?
Join the 3in30 Challenge and learn how to check those tasks, projects, and dreams off your list one at a time!

Let’s break down our lists into bite-sized chunks, and let’s check up on each other over the course of a month. Together we can accomplish our goals!

It’s been said that it takes 21 days to create new habits. Each month (approximately each 30 days) the 3in30 Challenge starts fresh. Choose up to 3 goals you’d like to work on. Then, throughout the month there will be weekly link-ups and opportunities for daily encouragement and accountability
I like the fact that it is a personal challenge where you set your own goals but ....  will I actually do it?  Well I have to do something and this is as good as anything.  I can see that steadily chipping away at the things that need to be done will work, I just have to get myself motivated to start! Things have defintely got on top of me and I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel but I know that I have to turn things around before I fall over the edge into another bout of depression.

So, thinking positively (and I know that I am starting part way through the month) for July I have opted for only 2 tasks from my very long to-do list. I know that without pushing myself I will leave this work to the last minute and will have it on my mind all through the summer holidays.
  1. Finish the outstanding paperwork. I have to calculate and submit invoices and registers, issue reports and prepare folders for each school (5 of them) for next term.
  2. Sort out the sheet music. I've let this get in a mess, there is music everywhere. I need to file it by instrument and decide what is staying and what is going.
Both goals are achieveable.  But can I do it?

Comments

  1. Absolutely you can do it! Motivation is the key, I completely agree with you! My 'to do' list almost seems to get ahead of me too, that is why I really like the idea of finishing off stuff at bit at a time. Good luck on your goals!
