Photo Scavenger Hunt - October 2011

Well, I have 12 photos ....

.... but one was taken last year ....

.... and I think I was the only person not to capture, or even see, a proper sunset this year.

As usual, many thanks to Kathy at Postcards from the PP for organising the scavenger hunt.

graffiti
I can't believe it was so difficult to find some
grafitti - it used to be absolutely
everywhere.  Found this near the park.
black cat
luckily Tinkerbell's halloween costume
solved this one for me

candlelit
I struggled with this one ... I couldn't get
a decent photo and chose this as the best
from about 25 attempts

crunchy leaves
these leaves had fallen on top of a bush - taken in Trowbridge Park

eerie
lead coffins in the crypt at Farleigh Castle

fog/mist
I only just managed to get this one. Taken on the only foggy
day in the month, it cleared about 15 minutes after I'd taken this

golden
taken last year in Bath, the golden lion was one of the Pride
of Bath lions which were dotted around the city

heritage
the Handle House in Trowbridge was
used to dry and store the teazles
which were used in the woollen industry

pumpkins
seen on a trailer outside a farm shop

river
the River Frome at Farleigh Hungerford

sunset

  2. It turned out to be quite a tricky list I thought! You took some great photos. I was surprised at how hard it is to find graffiti too!

  11. The sunset one definitely counts! I think sometimes there's nothing to do but be creative with the categories - hence my mist/fog one because I didn't see any of it this month.
