The Simple Woman's Daybook - 1 October 2011

FOR TODAY - Saturday, 1st October 2011, 10:50pm

Outside my window... it is dark.  It has been another hot, sunny day.

I am thinking... that I'm tired.  It has been another busy week and I'll be doing as little as possible tomorrow so I can have a rest.

I am thankful... that my laptop has been sorted.  Yet another virus, this time the laptop had to be wiped and a clean install of all programs.  Luckily everything was backed up so i diidn't lose any data.

I am learning ... no change .... I'm still working towards a flute exam and plodding on with learning to play the piano.

In the kitchen... the washing up is done and the kitchen has been tidied ready to start again tomorrow.

I am wearing... t shirt and skirt.

I am creating... some photos for the music room in one of my schools.

I am going... to a funeral on Thursday.  My friend's step-dad has passed away after a short illness.

I am wondering... about nothing.  I'm too tired to 'wonder'!

I am reading... When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman and I'm really enjoying it.

I am hoping... that I can get to see my sister next week.

I am looking forward to... a restful day tomorrow.

I am hearing... the TV. Ced is watching 'Restoration Man' on cable TV

Around the house... it is dark.  We're both in the living room.

I am pondering... a workable routine to make the best of my time for both of us.

One of my favorite things...  singing along to all the songs in the film, Grease.

A few plans for the rest of the week: family visiting on Tuesday, funeral on Thursday, teaching Monday, Wednesday and Friday and band practice on Saturday.

Here is a thought I am sharing ...

  1. Hope that you are feeling more rested today Ellie.
You have a busy week ahead with teaching and the funeral etc, so take some time to yourself.

Lucky you with a heat wave, we have gallons of rain pouring from the heavens for the last 3 days, it is horrible.

No t-shirt wearing here, it is long sleeves and fleecies!!!

    Take care Ellie.

  2. Isn't it funny how climates can be so vastly different? It's been cool and lovely here. I hope your week goes smoothly. :)
