BlogtoberFest Day 1: October's Simple Things

This was my list for September.  As you can see I didn't get it all completed, but never mind
  • find my candle holders and tealights and have at least a couple of evenings relaxing by candlelight done
  • complete a WASGIJ jigsaw puzzle done
  • watch the final episode of 'Lewis' done
  • do some baking - either a cake, scones or biscuits, or maybe all of them! miserable fail!
  • start a redwork embroidery wall hanging, probably a Christmas theme. finished the design but no actual sewing

Now my list for October:
  • bake some waffles - I've bought a waffle maker so this is bound to get done!!
  • join in with Greenthumb's October scavenger hunt
  • photograph the autumn colours
  • invite family and friends for evening meals
  • carry on the researching the Meaden line of my family tree
Fingers crossed for a better success rate this time.

  1. I read of a Mary (or Margery, or similar, cant remember now) Meaden who worked in the old East End House, Warminster, there was a bit of her family history, it was a library book, I'll see if I can find it again and give you the details. Also our plumber/gas man is called Barry Meaden, he lives in Westbury. Guessing they might be distant relatives?
You must tip me the wink when you've baked the waffles :-)
    Joy xx
