5 in 5 | A Day Out in Bristol

It's time for Sandie's 5 in 5 so I'm sharing some of the photos I took on my trip to Bristol yesterday.  Actually, there's two lots of 5 in 5 because I couldn't choose which set I wanted to use.

The first lot were taken in the square in front of the Bristol Hippodrome and the first photo shows the reason for the trip - War Horse was amazing, and is the first one ticked off my list of 101 things in 1001 days.

The next 5 were taken inside Bristol Cathedral. I also took a load for the Winter Photographic Scavenger Hunt but I'll do a separate post to show them.

I decided that I don't know Bristol anywhere near well enough so I'm planning a few trips to get to know my way around better.

  1. Great photos, Eileen, my favourite is the gull.

  2. Both sets are wonderful. I also enjoyed seeing Warhorse. A great way to see bits of Bristol is the Open Doors Day in September. lots of buildings are open which you cannot normally see. We usually choose one area each year.

  3. Beautiful photos Eileen and thank you for joining in again this month. I have added your link to my 5 in 5 page, and can see why you were hard pressed to know which set to use. So glad you included both!
I have visited Bristol three times now and love it. There is so much to see and do and if you haven't already been do explore the Clifton area. The suspension bridge is magnificent, and the camera obscura is a must to see! If you are brave enough to go down the steps through the carved walkway there is a vantage point half way down the cliff. Some more great views and angles of the bridge from here.
Your photos are so sharp, what kind of camera do you use? I love them all but the gull and the tulips jumped out especially. Glad you enjoyed War Horse, I've yet to see it on stage.
