Weekly Reflections

Reasons to be cheerful ...
  • finally sorting out food deliveries ... no need to worry about food supplies now
  • my wool order arrived safe and sound, I've found the crochet hook, so have my 'something' new to try next week!
  • Visits to the theatre
  • Zoom chats with friends
  • text messaging and phone calls to family
  • B and K seem to be improving following their bouts of coronavirus
  • the opportunity to slow the pace of life, take a step back, and see new rhythms appearing in daily life
  • making some progress on the Very Hard Jigsaw Puzzle at long last. It doesn't look like much progress does it?

... but in my defence I only work on it when I'm waiting for the kettle to boil for coffee or when I'm waiting for whatever I'm cooking to be ready. And did I mention how hard it is?

I am grateful ...
  • that all family members remain free from coronavirus
  • for all the offers of support from people I don't know
  • that circumstances permit me to stay safe in my own home

  1. It all sounds brilliant and I'm glad some of your worries are being lifted from you. That's so good.

  2. You sound less worried and stressed. I think having the food deliveries in place has helped. Or, maybe we are all getting a little more used to the changed circumstances. You've made quite a bit of progress on the puzzles, especially considering that fact that you are not spending a lot of time working on it! A lot of things about which to be cheerful and grateful. :)

    1. I do feel more at ease, or as much as is possible at this time. I think I am in a better position than a lot of people in that, now I have organised food and medication deliveries, I can stay in the safety of my own home and garden. People are taking the time to keep in touch so the isolation is not as dreadful as it could be. I think I am lucky!
