My daughter has rarely asked us to help with childcare and this hasn't changed. Good that you are able to say no. It's nice to help occasionally but your time is yours to do what you want, I love the freedom this gives me and I'm sure you will say the same. Enjoy the line dancing and recorder, glad to hear you are filling your days with nice things.Sandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12558786621283350776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-18725551753187452142015-11-24T14:22:08.106+00:002015-11-24T14:22:08.106+00:00Oh! how I hear what you are saying! Good for you with saying 'no', otherwise what is retirement? Work often means having to do what you would prefer not to do, retirement is for you. I hope you enjoy it.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-65750281233351755082015-11-23T19:44:00.161+00:002015-11-23T19:44:00.161+00:00Well done for starting a new piano piece, I rarely...Well done for starting a new piano piece, I rarely play the piano now - may be I should. Also keep up with saying no, I found when I retired I had to say no quite a lot as my life was being organised for me, I had plenty I wanted to do without others suggestions! Enjoy the rest of the week Eileen.Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00682070120172969234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-25204855357370149912015-11-23T19:35:46.809+00:002015-11-23T19:35:46.809+00:00The babysitting was certainly a serious suggestion...The babysitting was certainly a serious suggestion as my friend (the grandma) is struggling to keep up with all the requests to look after the child and she thought I'd like to help out!! Sounds rather cheeky to me! I like it when people feel able to approach me for help, which I'm always happy to provide, but I don't like being treated as a doormat!
Good luck tinkling the ivories and I'm looking forward to your wintry photo experiments.Lady Ellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17050899813793376037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-62095910929207835272015-11-23T18:20:47.487+00:002015-11-23T18:20:47.487+00:00I like the photo of your piano keys. As women, we are raised/trained to be people pleasers so No is a difficult word for us. I hope you have a good week ahead of you & that your days are filled with the things/places/adventures you want.Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-53246817480982510472015-11-23T14:26:47.293+00:002015-11-23T14:26:47.293+00:00What a good honest warning that is! I can remember my GP last year saying she envied anyone who could make things or gardened or took photos and that when she retired she'd have to learn how to keep herself busy. I wonder how she's doing..

Have a good week EileenSianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01764280029794453933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-5129812883658325992015-11-23T14:09:57.814+00:002015-11-23T14:09:57.814+00:00I bet with practice you'll have that piece dow...I bet with practice you'll have that piece down for the piano in no time :)

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5734193338502038294.post-91983267974270449852015-11-23T13:41:32.841+00:002015-11-23T13:41:32.841+00:00I am glad your first week of retirement has gone o...I am glad your first week of retirement has gone ok and that you have found your way back to your piano.
