The Weather Forecast ...
... was right, for once. It's been raining on and off during the day so I thought it would be too wet to settle but it started snowing about 15 minutes ago and, yes, it's settling! I'm glad I decided to stay at home.
We don't cope well with snow in this country, so all the people experiencing much more extreme conditions in Canada and the USA have my heartfelt sympathy.
Lovely pics! Looks like that here too. I might try to take some shots! If the forecast is right, and it does go on all night, it should be really pretty in the morning. I love it but like you, find driving scary. Had a very near-miss last week, which wasn't funny at all! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI'm not going out today. I'd like to venture out and take some photos but having seen people slipping and sliding their way up the road, I've decided against it. It's still snow quite hard but it's quite 'wet' so I don't know how long it'll last.
DeleteFirst pictures I've seen, always looks pretty.......but I know better.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you got to stay home.
Praying it doesn't last long.
Thank you. I like to see the snow but am always happy when it's gone.
DeleteI think the snow is at its prettiest when inside looking out at it. Hopefully it doesn't last too long & the roads get cleared quickly. That's one of our biggest little village problems is the side streets are slow to get cleared, so traveling out of the subdivision to the main roads is often the worst part.
ReplyDeleteMy road won't be cleared but I only have a few yards to drive to get to a busier road which looks okay (from my bedroom window!) for driving and from there it's only another few yards to the main road, which will be one of the ones they clear. I don't think the snow will stay long enough to be a problem though.
DeleteI'm glad you stayed home too - not the weather for being out unless you absolutely have to, is it?

No, definitely not. I'm so glad I decided to stay at home. I would have been worried all evening if I'd gone, so the decision to stay in was the correct one.
DeleteLovely photos. Snow always looks better when one is looking at it from the warm comfort of ones home! I'm glad you decided to stay home.
