It Was a Bargain!
All of the furniture is now back where it should be and I can settle down to a peaceful life at home without all the noise and dust that comes with all the tradesmen. Indoors is finished for now and outside should take another couple of weeks for them to complete the landscaping.
There are still a few bits of furniture I need - a king size bed, two cupboards for the study and some dining room chairs - but most of that will wait until the January sales, or maybe even longer. I bought the mahogany dining table at a bargain price and have now managed to get hold of an even better bargain.
The only thing lacking was somewhere to display all my treasures. I was looking online at FB Marketplace, eBay, etc. for a glass display cabinet and was getting frustrated at both the quality available and the high prices for everything. Then FB Marketplace came up trumps with this ...
