Merry Christmas
My Christmas has started in earnest so I will be taking a break from my blog for a few days - back sometime before the new year.
I met up with friends to see Jumanji yesterday (very funny, definitely recommended) followed by a meal and then an evening spent visiting and delivering the majority of my Christmas gifts to friends. My sister dropped in this morning to collect the gifts for the family, so all I have left now are the ones for Julie and the girls which I'll take with me on the big day.
I've started my Christmas jigsaw, which is progressing better now that I've realised that there are actually two jigsaw puzzles in one box. I sorted out all the edge pieces to get started but it just wasn't coming together and then I realised that there were eight corner pieces! It says on the box that it's two puzzles but I'd taken that to mean there was one jigsaw to assemble and the second puzzle would then be revealed, as in a riddle or question to be solved. No, there are actually two jigsaws in the same box with all the pieces mixed together. It should be fun to do.
I have friends visiting this afternoon. They're driving up from Plymouth on their way home for a family Christmas but will break their journey at mine for tea. I haven't seen them for a couple of years so I'm really looking forward to catching up with all their news. Then in the evening I'm going to a Christmas film night at J's home. I don't know which film we're seeing but she has a huge selection to choose from. Tomorrow and Sunday I'm providing taxi services for Lauren and in between I'll be meeting friends for lunch each day.
It'll be a lot quieter in the run up to the new year so I'll have time to catch up with myself. In the meantime, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Eileen.
