Hawthorn's March Scavenger Hunt
I'm linking up with Kate over at I live, I love, I craft, I am me ... for her March scavenger hunt.
Flat | I had a complete blank on this one and in the end settled on the musical symbol to denote a flat. A bit boring I'm afraid ...
Wheel | some the gear wheels used to make a horse from Meccano. This was made by my late partner and is now treasured by me.
Ragged | there's still beauty to be seen in the dying days of the daffodil
Swing | Another boring one ... a swing in one of the neighborhood playgrounds. Somewhere I have a set of photos of a rope swing over water but of course I couldn't find them when I needed them!
Pots | taken yesterday at the local garden centre; I need to repot the euonymus but even with this selection I couldn't find one I liked!
Own choice | it's magnolia season!
Many thanks to Kate for organising this monthly scavenger hunt.
Nice one with 'flat' - definitely thinking outside the box!
ReplyDeleteThe magnolia looks magnificent :) thank you for sharing x
All the magnolia trees look glorious this year ... it’s a fantastic sight.
DeleteA fun selection of finds - I particularly like your "flat" & "ragged finds. Gorgeous photo of the magnolias against the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Flat was my first thought for the prompt but not easy to make it interesting!
DeleteLovely photos & definitely not boring. The meccano wheels are great & as a big Magnolia lover, I think your tree is wonderful & am surprised it's in full flower this early in your Spring. Thanks for sharing & take care.
ReplyDeleteAll the magnolia trees are in full flower in this area. I wish it was my tree - this magnificent specimen is in a nearby village.
DeleteLovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue
DeleteA good selection of photos, I love the magnolia against the blue sky, it looks gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI was driving through a neighbouring village when I ‘saw’ that photo of the magnolia ... I had to park the car and walk back to photograph it!
DeleteThank you for sharing the pics. They look amazing, and quite a hunt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lyssa. These hunts are good fun ... why don’t you think about having a go next time?
DeleteNot at all boring! I liked your ragged and magnolia but my favourite has to be wheel. My Beloved has used Meccano as a lad and often mentions people lacking Meccano skills..... Lots of magnolias in bloom in my neck of the woods, lovely to see.
ReplyDeleteMy late partner was also sad about the lack of Meccano skills. He thought children were missing out on learning and developing life skills through play. I too love magnolia season.
DeleteI love the magnolia. There is some blooming in my local park and it makes me happy to see it. Nice mechano memories. :)
ReplyDeleteMagnolia means ‘spring’ to me. Everywhere looks so pretty at the moment with the magnolias in flower and all the blossom on trees. Glad the Meccano brings back memories.
DeleteSo nice to see Meccano again. Shame it is not in so much use these days. The magnolia against the blue sky is gorgeous and I think the idea for flat is brilliant. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jak. It seems to be Lego now, but I much prefer the Meccano. Glad you liked the idea for the flat photo.
DeleteLovely photos and great interpretations of the words. Like flat, wheel and ragged and the magnolia is beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosie. I do enjoy photographing for all the prompts.
DeleteThank you Eileen for your photos, their simplicity is quite beguiling.
ReplyDeleteAnd our daffodils are just starting to bloom! I love the magnolia photo, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe magnolia is beautiful at this time of year, but my favourite is your dying daffodil - great photo. I never thought about the flat - doh - brilliant
ReplyDeleteStunning magnolia.
ReplyDeleteFlat - well done, a very different choice
