Friday

Just a quick post as I've overslept and there's a few things I want to do in the garden before M arrives.

M will be here in about an hour so the first thing is to place the new purchases where I'd like them to be planted. Then a quick trip to Wickes to buy some heavy duty black bags/sacks to set aside some of the gravel for the front garden - I only made this decision last night which is why it's been left to the last minute!

The other thing for today is after lunch - the online Nutrition Focus which if I've remembered correctly is all about the minerals your body needs.

  1. I hope your trip to Wickes goes well. Have a good day.

    1. Thanks Jane. Wickes came up trumps and I now have a good supply of the sacks I need. Now to persuade my nephew to do the heavy work of filling them for me!

    1. Most of the new plants have been planted and a fair chunk of the weeding and general tidying up is done. For now the tomato plants, sweet peas and angel's fishing rods are indoors and won't be planted out before mid-May.

  3. It'll be nice to see your plants growing exactly where you had in mind. Enjoy your weekend.

    1. M asked me today whether I was pleased with all my choices and with how the garden is looking, and I couldn't honestly say that I am pleased. It's still a work in progress but stage one can be marked as a success. 😊

Hope you have a good weekend too. xx

    2. Sorry, there's a typo. My previous comment should say "and I could honestly say that I am pleased" 😁

  4. Sounds like you had a busy morning! Gardens take time to take shape and, even afterwards, they constantly evolve. I put okra seeds to soak, last night, in readiness for my M to plant them for me, this afternoon. He might have to prepare a planting bed, first!

    1. I've just re-read my answer to the comment above ... it contains a typo and I am genuinely pleased with how it's going so far. I'll be able to see the bigger picture once the summer bulbs planted so far have grown.

      Good luck with the okra.

  5. I don't think one ever gets to the point when one can say 'yes, finished, I'm 100% happy' There's always something to do, some new idea, some plant to try. That's part of the fun.
I hope you had a lovely day.
    xx
