Spring Flowers
I didn't know what to write about today so here's some of the photos I took yesterday instead. This is a selection of what's flowering in the garden at present.
the last of the pieris flowers |
this one isn't doing too well where it is so will be moved to a different part of the garden |
the rest of the summer snowflakes have appeared at long last! |
daffodils in the late afternoon sun (please ignore the weeds!) |
pink tulip, photographed from above |
daffodil, shining in the sun |
Spring has sprung around there - what a treat your garden is.
ReplyDeleteI'm really pleased with it so far ... it's lovely to see my ideas put into action and being pleased with the results.
DeleteYour flowers and photos are beautiful, your garden must look wonderful. I love to see daffodils they shout Spring and warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. The gardens still quite bare in places but I hope to remedy that with the next lot of planting. Daffodils always cheer me up!
DeleteHow beautiful your flowers are! I'm sure your garden is a cosy place to spend relaxing time there. You are very lucky😉
ReplyDeleteHaving the garden has been a real blessing during the last year as it's provided a safe place to be outside. I'm guessing you don't have a garden yourself?
DeleteYou're right, I just have a balcony where there are two chairs and a table and some pots with my plants...
DeleteIt's good to hear that you have some outside space to sit and enjoy a relaxing moment with a tea or coffee.
DeleteBeautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy xx
DeleteThey look beautiful Eileen. I love the pink tulips. I think for next year I will definitely try and find some. I love bulbs grown in pots as they can add a little splash of colour where ever you want. I also find mine seem to grow better but I don't know why. Have a very Happy Easter. x
ReplyDeleteThe bulbs in pots are doing better than the ones in the soil - tulips definitely don't seem to like the heavy clay soil. I'll be looking for more of the pink ones next year as well.
DeleteHi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful flowers adorn your garden!
All very beautiful!
I take this opportunity to wish you the best Easter possible.
Hugs,
Ailime
Thanks Ailime. I wish a Happy Easter to you too xx
DeleteYour flowers are beautiful! All your planning and planting are showing results and I'm glad to read in one of your responses above that the garden is turning out how you envisioned it. I especially liked seeing the summer snowflakes, tulips, and daffodils. I've only once seen summer snowflakes growing here. I've grown tulips and daffodils, but, they are annuals over here, in southern California. I'm looking forward to seeing your garden flowers over the next several months. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bless, so far it's as I imagined it to be so I am very happy with that. The majority of the bulbs are in pots so, once they are over for the year, will be moved out of the way, still in their pots to allow the die back, and will be replace by the summer colour. I am going to buy that next week.
DeleteYou have so many lovely blooms!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm so happy with all of them, even the ones that aren't the colour that was promised on the packaging 😊
