More Packing!

looking across Staverton Marina

I had a lovely surprise in the post yesterday. It was the notification that I am due a tax refund, which I wasn't expecting at all, but which I will put towards the renovation of the bungalow. That's assuming I ever get to move ... they are still estimating 4 to 8 weeks until completion!

I'm expecting friend L to visit this afternoon. We can't go out as I am expecting a delivery of a new kettle from Amazon, so we'll stay in the warm and catch up on all that's been happening.

I'll carry on with the packing this morning. I've finished the study, the spare bedroom, and the music room, so will move on to empty the cupboards in the dining room of all my treasures. I know I'll like doing this room as it's mostly glass paperweights, candle holders and a few ceramics, and it means I get to play with the bubble wrap! Once this room is done it only leaves the kitchen, my clothes, and the last few bits in the living room, so I should be packed up in plenty of time. I'd better get on with it!

  3. Another 6-8 weeks of waiting - oh dear. I'm not sure how a sale of a home is different from UK to Canada, but here, I do know seller/purchaser agree on a date of ownership, which is often part of the deal to lengthen or shorten the handover. Do you have a final date for your new owners to move in? In the midst of my continued decluttering, I think "what if I was to move, what would I really want to take". Oh bubble wrap - someone may be there to keep you on track (lol).
