Some Good News!

I've finally received the results of the sleep study I did recently. The test has confirmed that I do have sleep apnoea, classed as moderate to severe, and the next stage is to be fitted with a CPAP machine to use at night to assist my breathing when I sleep. On the face of it, it doesn't really sound like good news does it? However, I'm just relieved to have a proper diagnosis for once instead of being left without a clear answer, and also that the condition itself is actually treatable.

I'm now waiting for an appointment to be set up with a CPAP machine. This will be in the Bristol Royal Infirmary Sleep Clinic and then it will be a case of persevering with it until I get used to sleeping with a face mask on. I'm focusing on the outcome, which should be a much better quality of sleep, leading to a huge improvement in my energy levels, leading to a better quality of life.

The second bit of good news is that I have a potential lodger coming to meet me and to view the room on Friday afternoon, so fingers crossed that it all works out and that she likes it!
