5 in 5 | Rediscovering My Garden

I'm late joining in with Sandie's 5 in 5 again! This is how the monthly challenge works:

1. Choose a location
2. Have your camera ready
3. Set a mobile timer for 5 minutes
4. Take as many photos as you can until the time is up
5. Choose 5 of those photos to share via the link on Sandie's blog on the 5th of the month

So, my chosen location was my back garden and here's what I found ...

... a promising sign on the newly gifted magnolia

... one of the many buds on one of the climbers

... next door's honeysuckle reaching up to the sky. It won't be long until it grows over the fence so I can enjoy it again as well.

... the only remaining clematis is flowering

... the Mexican Fleabane is providing some much needed colour.

Many thanks to Sandie for organising this challenge. It's not too late to join in if you'd like ... the more the merrier!

    1. It is fun to do and doesn't take up a lot of time. I hope you think about having a go ... you have until the 25th to post your photos (I checked!).

    1. I've followed the link, thanks. I'm now following Sandie's blog so will know where to post the link to the photos. Now I just have to remember to do it.
      Five in five. Lovely title!

    2. You still have time to join in this month if you'd like. I checked and Sandie accepts entries up to the 25th so it seems I wasn't really late.

It's fun to do. I used to do it regularly but, like so many things have got out of the habit, so intend to get myself organised and do it every month again.

    3. Hello Joy, in answer to your question, I share a new post and link on the 5th of each month. I invite you to share 5 photos taken in 5 minutes and you have up to the 25th to do this. We do this each month. I do hope you will join us, it is quick and easy and interesting what photos you can take in this time. Sandie

    1. There's plenty happening in the garden but it's difficult to appreciate it because the weeds have taken over!

See my reply to Joy (above). There's still time this month if you want to join in.

    2. Thank you. Sadly, my garden is a complete mess at the moment so I was pleasantly surprised to find things to photograph.

  6. Thank you for joining in this months photo challenge Eileen. I always enjoy seeing your 5 in 5 photos, and smiled at next doors honeysuckle. My neighbour has one that is rampant too, sadly I had to take the secateurs to it yesterday as it is threatening to smother my clematis. My garden probably looks it's best this time of year and we are currently redesigning it after taking out the large pond and rehoming our koi. Your magnolia bud looks promising, they are such beautiful trees. Enjoy the sunshine and your garden.

    1. Thanks Sandie. The magnolia is 'Yellow bird' so will add a splash of sunshine to the garden of I can get it to grow.
