52/365: a place to relax |
It's supposed to stay dry although still very windy so it's Operation Garden Pots today. I'm aiming to move all of the pots used for the annuals into the garage to reduce the number of pots that have to be moved around when the work on the patio starts. One of the wheels has seized on my own sack truck so it needs some love and attention before I can use it again, but neighbour S has one I can borrow and that will make the job easier. I haven't agreed a date for the patio work yet but I don't want to leave it and then have a last minute panic to get ready.
Depending on how I feel after dealing with the pots I may ... may! ... carry on and start sorting out in the garage but if energy levels are down I'll deal with some of the indoor decluttering instead.
There's nothing else on the list for today so once I've run out of steam I'll treat myself to a takeaway and while away the hours reading and watching TV.
Sounds like a busy day with moving those pots! Glad you can borrow your neighbor's sack truck (known as a dolly, over here) to move the pots. Enjoy your Monday! It's a holiday, here (Presidents' Day) and my daughter has a day off from work. So, we will enjoy a long weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteStorm Franklin arrived so I had to abandon my plans to sort out the pots and have spent the day indoors. I did make a start on the pots but started to feel really out of sorts and came back indoors. I think it was the wind affecting me as after a hot drink and a sit down, I was able to carry on with some of the indoor tasks.
DeleteEnjoy your long weekend!
It sounds a lovely mixture of projects today. Some energetic, some nice and easy - and a lovely takeaway at the end. Very nice!

I'm trying to decide on which takeaway I fancy ... Indian, Thai, Chinese or Italian. Thai is winning at the moment! xx
DeleteYour lovely neighbours have come to the rescue. It's very windy here and I just saw someone chasing their recycling bin down our road. Emjoy your takeaway after your busy day.
ReplyDeleteAs it turns out I have had I very easy day indoors. I started clearing the pots but the wind was just too much and I started to feel a bit odd, so came back indoors. That will have to wait until the weather improves later in the week. I'm still having my takeaway though 😊
DeleteIt will be nice to get the pots cleared away, which also includes taking stock of what's working & what's not, to progress to the what more do I need/not need. Getting the cleaning, grouting all done will seem like you have a new patio/garden. I like the view to your living room - nice photo enlargement.
ReplyDeleteI made a start on the pots but Storm Franklin won the battle so I gave up and did indoor things instead! The pots need a complete overhaul now I know what works well in my garden, and it is time to let some of the plants go to where they will have room to grow properly. I just have to decide on the balance between perennials and annuals ... decisions, decisions!
DeleteThat pic and that space look lovely and relaxing. I think a takeaway and a rest of the knee is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteI've just ordered my meal and it'll be delivered in about 30 minutes... Thai green curry! ☺️
DeleteYes, a welcoming view into the living room. How nice to come home to. (The aroma of Thai curry isn't half bad either!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love it ☺️
DeleteThe Thai curry didn't hang about for long. I was starving! xx
I hope you managed to get the pots sorted. Another great photo! That picture on the wall looks very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't. The arrival of Storm Franklin put paid to any outdoor activities so I retreated back indoors and just pottered about. The pots still have to be done.
DeleteI bought the picture a couple of years ago because it reminds me of a place I used to go to with Ced ... happy memories!
