The theme for November was 'food'. I'm having problems loading my photos into Blogger so here, in no particular order, are the ones I've managed to load so far ... it's taken two attempts and at least three hours to get this far! I have lots more and will try to upload them over the weekend when I'll have more time.
corn on the cob (soft focus thanks to the steam!)
three bean chilli, corn and pitta bread
tomato soup and cheesy twists
bread and butter pudding and custard
orange
rice, left over from a prawn biryani
images of food on the box my Instant Pot came in
336/365: mushrooms
comfort food - jacket potato with cheese and baked beans
(a bit of an odd photo of) onion bhajis
The challenge is to take photos on the set theme; the photos must be taken during the month (no archive photos), a minimum of five photos but there's no upper limit, and there will be a new theme every month. The theme for December is 'CHRISTMAS' ... take at least one photo for each letter in the word CHRISTMAS and ideally each photo will relate to the theme. I'll post a linky at the end of the month. Have fun!
Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the November challenge. Here's the linky ... please link to your challenge post, not just to your blog.
Oh, your food photos are making me hungry! I love the close-ups of the corn and the mushrooms! But, my favorite is the bread pudding and custard! Now I am wanting custard! We don't have custard powder here (not in the regular grocery stores, anyway) - there's pudding mix, but, that's not the same. I usually make custard the way my mother taught me, with milk and egg yolks.
You have a sweet tooth Bless! This custard tasted like one of the ready made varieties we can get over here, so it was too sickly for me. The bread pudding was lovely though.
I like the photo of the corn on the cob and three bean chilli, in fact I rather fancy three bean chilli for dinner, however I have gammon out of the freezer to cook. Helen S.
There's definitely an art to food photography; you definitely have it ... I definitely need practice! The corn on the cob is great, and I would love to tuck into the jacket potato with cheese and beans, but gone are those days. (Sob.) Sorry you are having Blogger hassles again; hope this doesn't bode ill for the rest of us. I have just driven myself mad trying to work out why I didn't have "enough" photos for Laurie's post - it took me about ten minutes to realise she had sent one of them twice. Duh!
Really, I don't think my food photographs were good at all, the camera ones that I'm still trying to load are the better ones. Yours and Laurie's are much better in my opinion.
Blogger is getting me down. I'm not doing anything different but for some reason it doesn't like my photos. I can't load camera images at all and the phone ones will load eventually but take ages ...over an hour for this morning's photo! xx
In that case I shall wait to be astonished by the others. If they are better than these, they must be amazing! I hope Blogger starts behaving for you soon. I do sympathise as it is so frustrating when things go wrong with it.
Actually I was thinking of showing amazing restraint, limiting myself to the nine pics, and trying to make them as wonderful as possible ... but within about half an hour I was already wondering whether maybe 18 would be more in character... We shall have to see!
Well, I shouldn't have perused these before breakfast, now I am starving . . . especially for corn on the cob. (Which would not even qualify as the weirdest breakfast I have ever had!)
Loving those you've found so far, and looking forward to the rest later .
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy xx

DeleteLots of tasty photos. You had me at bread & butter pudding with custard sauce!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you and Bless could be twins!

ReplyDeleteThanks Helen. It's the right sort of weather for a warming chilli. I love gammon just as much though, especially with buttery mash.

DeleteOh, PS, love the December theme!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the theme and it still gives you scope to take as many photos as you want. 😉

DeleteSo sorry that I'm late. That mushroom pic is so detailed! I love the pics.
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologise at all. The mushroom was my favourite photo so I'm glad you like it too.

ReplyDeleteNow I'm intrigued. What is the weirdest breakfast you've ever had?
