A Day Off ...
... from working on things in the house. Niall is here and we're going out to enjoy the sunshine. I've been wanting to photograph a particular church for quite a while now, so we're heading off in that direction and will hopefully get the photos and then find a pub for a nice meal.
The daffodils were a gift from a neighbour, J, who I came round to introduce herself yesterday. She left the daffs and an invite to go round to meet her husband, and also see how they have tackled the end of their garden to create a see-through barrier to the stream - it sound interesting as they are using a strengthened glass panel, which sounds way more appealing than the wire fencing I have at the bottom of my garden!
How lovely of your neighbor to welcome you to the neighborhood with daffodils and an invitation to meet her husband and see their garden!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've planned a wonderful day's outing and hope you enjoy yourself.
It was a lovely surprise and the invite to see their garden is a bonus. We had a lovely day out ... need to do that more often xx
DeleteWhat a lovely welcome from your neighbour. This sounds like a really nice area you've moved in to. I hope you managed to get some nice photos of the church.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a friendly area and I feel very happy here. I don't regret the move at all. Yes, I managed to get some photos of the church. xx
DeleteThat is a nice welcome from your neighbour. We hear of so many awful people it is good to know that kind, decent people still exist. Enjoy your day off. Carole R.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have landed on my feet, with nice neighbours who are all friendly. I have lots of offers of help and invites to local social events. xx
