Weekly Reflections
Reasons to be cheerful ...
- chatting, texting and emailing with family and friends
- seeing some progress on the final stage of the renovations - the living/dining room has been plastered and is ready for decorating, the kitchen is finished, the garden work is now starting on August 10th, and the study will be plastered on the 1st and 2nd August
- treating myself to two new summer dresses 😊
- sorting out my finances and knowing I have the funds to complete the renovations
- binge watching 'The Rookie' with Niall
- winning some online games of canasta after a losing streak
- hearing from the owner of the tree that is overhanging my garden and getting the confirmation that he is taking action to rectify the problem
- finally having the special blood test to check my adrenal function and being able to revert back to my usual medication
- adding some dates to my diary, social not medical 😊
- being fitted with a CPAP machine and mask to treat the sleep apnoea ... it's going to make a huge difference to how I feel every day
- choosing the fabric for the living room curtains ... it means the walls will now need to be painted white instead of cream, but I'm okay with that
I am grateful ...
- for the support of family and friends, especially Niall, for all their help in recent months as I've struggled with so many health issues
- for fans and personal air conditioners and the electricity to run them, plus a freezer full of ice cream and ice lollies to enjoy as we struggle through this latest heat wave
- for TV, Netflix, and Prime, for entertainment at the press of a button now I am finding it so hard to go out on my own
