  the Church of St John the Evangelist in Upper Studley, which is just under a mile away from my home   The plasterer came to look at the rooms I want to be skimmed. He arrived just after nine o'clock, and from the start was very negative and rather rude. He stayed for quite a long time and I don't really understand why, as it was very obvious that he wasn't interested in doing the work. He said he'll sent a quote next week, but I'll be surprised if he does, and I don't want to give him the work now anyway! So, it wasn't a good start to the day! I'm rethinking what to do about the walls I want to be skimmed and will talk to my BiL before I do anything else. Next I dealt with some phones calls and messages about things I'd initiated on Wednesday. This went a lot better and meant I was able to complete my financial spreadsheet, my car is booked in for the MOT next Thursday, and I agreed to a telephone call about my application for Attendance Allowance ...
