Raindrops on Windows
I've changed 'roses' to 'windows' as I don't have any roses in bloom yet! It's not my best photo but if you look carefully and squint a bit, you'll be able to see the raindrops. The rain has definitely stopped play today. We were going to go out but have settled for restful day at home instead.
Somehow I have managed to have a productive morning. I've chosen a selection of electric fires suitable for the living room to replace the gas fire I had removed. I've also contacted three builders for quotes to cap off the chimney, sort out the leak from the external wall, and get the chimney breast ready to insert the fire. I'm not too sure what size fire to buy so will make a decision after I know what size the opening for the fire will be.
I've also contacted a local handyman (who only charges £10 an hour) to do a few small tasks for me. The most important one is to assemble a heavy duty shelving rack for the garage and fix it to the wall. Once that's done I can start sorting out the garage and get things organised out there before M (gardener) starts back again.
I have booked a couple more medical appointments, organised by my GP and both related to a sleep study, to determine whether I have sleep apnoea. I hope I don't have this, but it will go a long way to explaining the exhaustion I am experiencing on a daily basis.
And finally, I've booked our tickets to see The Choir of Man at the Theatre Royal in Bath in March. I'd originally planned to see it in London but was unable to travel so I've been eagerly watching the tour dates for a second chance.
We've been binge watching The Good Doctor on Netflix, and that's what were going to do next, so I'll love you and leave you.

That is a packed day! Good luck with the fireplace.
ReplyDeleteI find the rain soothing, especially if I can park in a car to knit and be safe, dry and warm inside while the rain rattles on the roof.
