Friday 8th May

Just a small photo of a regular visitor to my garden. It's too blurry to be any bigger but not too bad for a phone photo taken through the kitchen window to a small squirrel on the fence at the bottom of the garden. I have Niall to thank for this photo - he understands my need for different photos for this blog and helped me out this morning as I'm not well enough to take the photo myself. I had another migraine during the night so am feeling fragile today and will spend most of the day in bed recovering. At least it wasn't too bad this time and the medication did kick in quickly.

I was planning to have an admin day today so that's pushed back to tomorrow now. The next lot of work is coming together nicely. The electrician will be here on the 13th to sort out the extra sockets I want, which fits in nicely with the plasterer who is hoping to be able to start some of the work the following week. The new IKEA cupboards have arrived so I'm waiting for BiL to confirm a date, hopefully towards the end of next week. Once the cupboards are installed I'll be able to unpack the majority of the boxes currently stacked in the conservatory, so not only will I have access to all my hobby stuff but I'll also regain the use of the conservatory in time for the summer months. 

I've decided to delay getting a lodger until the living room is finished. It'll be too disruptive here while the room is being done and I will need to move some bits of furniture into the lodger's room to make a bit of space for the plasterer to work. It won't delay the plan for too long and I will be able to advertise the room straight away, just with a later availability date. 

I have loads more to say but I can't stay up any longer so I'm going back to bed and will do another post when I've recovered.
