My Simple Things

Kathy over at Postcards from the PP has posted a list of the simple things she plans to do in April.  For a fuller explanation of where this idea came from just pop over to her blog to read all about it ...

... okay, back with me?  It's been a really tough week.  Going back to work proved more tiring and much more stressful than I had anticipated.  Add to that the stress of moving home and you may understand why Kathy's idea struck me as a breath of fresh air.  It is just what I need to do - find some 'me' time to do some of these simple things and allow myself to relax and unwind.

So here's my list for the remaining days in April:

~  a homemade smoothie ~
~ invite friends round for a meal ~
~ walk the (borrowed!) dog ~
~ go for a photo walk ~
~ read a book ~
~ play Monopoly with Tweenie and Tinkerbell ~
~ playtime with Raggie and Wriggle ~

Even thinking about what to add to the list has cheered me up.  Thanks for the idea Kathy.

  1. Hi Eileen. You're very welcome to the idea. I like your take on it, choosing some simple things to do to cheer you up. I was just listing some random things that make me smile.
I know how difficult it is to return to work. After my cancer in 2010, going back to teaching was the hardest thing I faced in the whole episode. I'm off work again right now, and will be going back in July. I'm annoyed that I'm going have to face it all over again. But my problems don't compare to what you've been through. You must take time to be kind to yourself! Don't expect too much too soon.
Wishing you lots of love Kathy xxx
