Weekly Reflections

another jigsaw puzzle completed |
- chatting, texting and emailing with family and friends
- enjoying some quiet times in my new home
- buying a walking pad (small treadmill) to help with exercising at home and hopefully improving my mobility
- watching series 1 of Department Q ... it took a while to get used to the bad language but overall it was a good story and we both enjoyed it
- buying tickets to see 'The Simon and Garfunkel Story' in July
- getting my hair cut and feeling more human again
- meeting a couple more neighbours ... so far everyone has been very friendly and approachable
- having a relatively healthy week ... only two migraines this time!
- planning for the renovation of my new home, this time thinking of the specifics for decorations, i.e. stage 3. We haven't even started stage 1 yet, but I now have a good idea of the bigger picture of what I'd like some of the rooms to look like.
- completing my latest jigsaw (see photo above), and buying a 'Talking Jigsaw Puzzle' for my next one
- adding more dates to my diary
- playing the piano
I am grateful ...
- for gardener M's gift of some plants from her garden, so that I can have some colour in mine this year
- for the NHS and the support they will give my sister for the rest of her life, following her latest diagnosis of cancer, fortunately treatable this time but not curable
- for all the rain the gardens have been enjoying ... mine definitely needed it!
Sounds like a really lovely week. It's amazing how good a haircut can make you feel! I have one coming up this week and I can't wait. My hair right now just feels like a mop of frizz lol
ReplyDeleteThe jigsaw is beautiful
It was a lovely week, apart from my sister's diagnosis of course. I have naturally curly hair which is fine for a while but once it reaches the ringlets stage I can't wait to get it cut, which is usually every six weeks now.
DeleteThe jigsaw was an impulse buy. It was much harder than I thought it would be, but I still enjoyed doing it. xx
Lots to be cheerful about and thankful for, this week, but, I am sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis. I hope her treatments proceed well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bless. She seems really positive about it all, so all is good for now. xx
DeleteA cheerful week and lots to be grateful for.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to read of your sister's cancer diagnosis. I wish her well and it is good that the NHS can look after her.
Thanks Carole. We're so lucky to live in a country where the healthcare is free. xx
