Summer Reading
I've recently discovered M.C. Beaton's 'Agatha Raisin' books - I heard them on Radio 4 Extra as a play/story featuring Penelope Keith.
Agatha Raisin is a 'Miss Marple' with attitude. She actually reminds me of someone I know which I suppose adds to my enjoyment of the books. Don't worry - if I've given you the link to this blog, then it's not you! I think they are lovely, simple, old-fashioned stories with minimal violence and lots of humour. They are a pleasant undemanding read and I find them really relaxing so I'm going to buy the entire series (eBay is my friend) and read them, in order, this summer.
I've read 4 so far so only another 17 to go.
