I'm Confused ...
... so I'm hoping one of you clever people can clarify things for me.
I've been reading back through posts I missed on other blogs and everyone seems so have posted about the changes in reading blogs and about joining Bloglovin. Did I miss something really important? Is there something I need to do to make sure that my blog can still be seen and read?
Answers on a postcard please, to ...
Hi eileen from what I can make out if you read your blogs on your computer in your reading list on blogger then the changes won't affect you and you can carry on the way you were. If on the other had you used google reader either on your computer or like me an app like feedldler on my iPhone/iPad then you wouldn't get any more updates from your reading list and you needed to find another way of reading them like bloglovin or feedly. Does that make sense so far??? Obviously if lots of people are using bloglovin or feedly to read your blog then it might be an idea to join feedly or bloglovin so that you can add a follow me button to your blog making it easier for people to follow your blog. I did find it all a bit confusing and if I got the above completely wrong then can someone tell me the right way thanks xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteDo you read your blogs on your blogger dashboard? If so no need to do anything. Some people have joined Bloglovin because the Goggle Reader has ceased, but if you didn't use it anyway no need to do anything.

It confused me totally as well Eileen, but nothing has changed for me. Phew x
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. I use the blogger reader so it looks like I don't need to do anything at all.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, I hope it's not too late, just want to add that the point is, Google reader is no longer available, so people who usually read your blog through there will need to move to some other platform, e.g. bloglovin. For you personally if you didn't use it it is fine, and they will still be able to follow your blog anyway in bloglovin even if you don't have an account there.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through Abi's monthly cup of tea, love your blog. :)
