more books from my sister |
Reasons to be cheerful ...
- texting, phoning, and emailing with family and friends
- driving my car again for the first time since March 17th - Niall came with me and would have taken over the driving if necessary but I managed without any problems. This is the first step to regaining my independence.
- enjoying watching Destination X, Blindspot, and Ballard on TV and Prime Video
- meeting another neighbour
- actually going shopping in person to choose some greetings cards rather than buying online or asking someone else to buy them for me
- reading The Last Word by Elly Griffiths
- booking the tradesmen to start work in September, and
- ordering the kitchen and bathroom units and tiles
- buying three second-hand 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles from a charity shop
- playing canasta with the u3a group
- continuing to run my u3a Something Snappy group - we have a new member joining us next time
- resuming blogging
I am grateful ...
- for the NHS and the care that my sister continues to receive and the care that they will extend to me once the referrals to the specialists are done
- for the help received from family, friends and neighbours
- for the free help extended by the IKEA kitchen department to plan my new kitchen
