Weekly Reflections

more books from my sister

Reasons to be cheerful ...
  • texting, phoning, and emailing with family and friends
  • driving my car again for the first time since March 17th - Niall came with me and would have taken over the driving if necessary but I managed without any problems. This is the first step to regaining my independence.
  • enjoying watching Destination X, Blindspot, and Ballard on TV and Prime Video
  • meeting another neighbour
  • actually going shopping in person to choose some greetings cards rather than buying online or asking someone else to buy them for me
  • reading The Last Word by Elly Griffiths
  • booking the tradesmen to start work in September, and
  • ordering the kitchen and bathroom units and tiles
  • buying three second-hand 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles from a charity shop
  • playing canasta with the u3a group
  • continuing to run my u3a Something Snappy group - we have a new member joining us next time
  • resuming blogging

I am grateful ...
  • for the NHS and the care that my sister continues to receive and the care that they will extend to me once the referrals to the specialists are done
  • for the help received from family, friends and neighbours
  • for the free help extended by the IKEA kitchen department to plan my new kitchen
