FMS Photo a Day 11: A Memory
A memory ... from my childhood. These are the serving platters, all that remain of the dinner service my parents bought when they first got married. At Christmas the turkey was served up on the larger of the two ... we always referred to them as the 'Christmas Day plates'! They're mine now and I still use them for family celebrations.
What a lovely memory. Funny how crockery can take us back to our childhood. I have some of my mother's plates and they transport me back every time. Xx
