79/365: First Day of Spring

According to Greenwich Meantime today is officially the first day of spring.

There are a few signs of Spring in the garden the most obvious being the daffodils with their bright splash of yellow standing out against the browns and greens around them. (I apologise for the poor focus - it is very windy and this was the best of a bad bunch!)

For the next 30 days I am joining in Peggy's Four Season:: Thirty Days which asks us to add one photo and a short description each day to tell what Spring looks like, tastes like, smells like, feels like ... through our eyes.  On some days it will be a separate post but for today I am linking this image for day 1 of the thirty day of spring.

  4. Daffodils are my favorite, and I am looking forward to grabbing a photo of a bunch toward the end of the spring challenge. The stems are about 6 inches long where I live, so they're coming along, but we won't have flowers for at least two or three weeks! Can't wait!
