SNAP!
A sequence in four photos for Helena's SNAP meme this week.
This is the clematis I'd thought was killed off in one of the many storms last winter - it was pulled off its trellis and uprooted, so I hacked off the majority of the growth and stuck the roots back in the soil (literally ... it was pitch black, pouring with rain and I could hardly stay upright in the wind) and somehow, it has survived.
Here are four of it's stages of life, all on the plant on the same day.
Thanks to Helena for organising this every week.
Stunning Eileen.

beautiful - such a delicate plant for such tenacity
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty SNAP collection. I often follow the beginnings of favourite flowers.
ReplyDeleteYes I can see that it is indeed Snap! They are beautiful. The clematis does seem to be resilient to trauma. I have one that is looking fabulous this year despite the dog digging it up when it was young!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! Iris (posted by Mary Lou today) and clematis are two flowers that haven't made it in our gardens. I love both of them, and your clematis is a stunner.
ReplyDeleteThat clematis is wonderful ... they're such hardy plants, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteWow, that was neat to see the "life cycle" like this!

Glad the clematis is doing well, it is very pretty, I love the colour!
ReplyDeletegreat SNAP...a beautiful colour! When I first moved into my house I was cleaning up the garden and accidentally removed the clematis..I tried to revive it but no luck!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Eileen. I love that about Clematis. You can see all the stages in one day. So glad it survived.
