BlogtoberFest Day 2: W... W... W... Wednesdays

I'm joining in with a meme organised by MizB @ shouldbereading. To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading: 'Ursula, Under' by Ingrid Hill.  I've only just started it and I'm not completely hooked - the descriptive style is just a bit too much for my taste and I feel it is slowing the story down.  It's about a little girl who is trapped in a mineshaft and who is the last in line in her family.  The story details the rescue mission and also reveals the lives of her ancestors.

Recently finished: I've been reading lots of articles on garden planning and have just finished reading the Reader's Digest book, 'Container Gardening for all Seasons'. It's answered a lot of my questions (and there were a lot of questions, me not really being a gardener!) and I'm sure it will stay out as a handy reference book.

Reading next: I haven't decided what to read next.  I have about 40 books all calling out to me from the top shelf of the bookcase.  Likely candidates include:
  • 'The Buried Circle' by Jenni Mills which is set locally in Avebury and is about the story that is uncovered when a woman starts to investigate her family history.
  • 'Switched' by Amanda Hocking which is about a girl who always believed she didn't quite fit in and who has the ability to influence other people's decisions and how everything makes sense when she crosses into another world, Forening, the home of the Trylle.
  • 'The Secrets Between Us' by Louise Douglas which is about Sarah's new relationship with Alex and the questions surrounding the disappearance of his wife and child.

  2. Great questions! I'm reading Cynthia Winton-Henry's book, What the Body Wants, and her autobiography, Chasing the Dance of Life. I just finished reading, Uncommon Genius, which is a book about people who won the MacArthur awards. The author analyzes the creative process. Next on my reading list is....oops I can't remember the author's name! Thanks for asking!
