You can just about see the red tint on this year's new leaves - it doesn't show up as much as I'd hoped but it is now raining too hard to go out outside and take another shot. So, this will have to do for today!
Did you ever find out what that plant was? Does it still come over your fence? I seem to recall a honeysuckle or something coming over from your neighbor's garden, but, this is not the same plant, is it?
Yes, that's the honeysuckle! It was ripped to shreds during one of the severe winter storms and although it tried to grow again it hasn't really thrived. I do miss it growing over the fence!
