Weekly Reflections

taken at my (hopefully) soon to be new home

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting, and chatting with family and friends
  • arranging another visit to the bungalow I am buying to check some things ... it feels really homely as soon as I walk in the front door even though every room is completely empty
  • enjoying an evening in Bath listening to Tim Spector ... well worth the ticket price!
  • acquiring some more books
  • getting on with some more packing
  • binge watching the second series of The Night Agent and A Man on the Inside with Niall
  • finally seeing some progress on the purchase of the bungalow. My house sale is ready to complete, we're just waiting for the solicitors acting for the sellers of the bungalow to get their act together!
  • feeling a little better after the bout of pneumonia followed by the pleurisy. I think I still have the pleurisy but my breathing is much improved and there's hardly any pain now
  • learning about a newly opened board game café in Trowbridge. We haven't been yet but plan to in the near future
  • enjoying a trip to the cinema to see Conclave
  • continuing to eat around 35 different plant foods each week

I am grateful ...
  • for my BiL and nephew's help in understanding some of the papers relating to the purchase of the bungalow. It's very useful to have relatives who understand the building trade and all the necessary permissions and regulations (BiL), and the environmental issues documented in the local searches (nephew)
  • for my sister's generosity and the gift of another bag of books
  • for the NHS and free medication
