We used to always have new books at Christmas but also had a selection of Christmas themed ones which were brought out in the days leading up to the big event. Throughout my teens I read Dicken's 'A Christmas Carol' every December, as well as another favourite book of short Christmas stories which had lost it's cover and we never knew what it was called or who wrote it.
I don't know what happened to the original books so I'm going to build a small collection of my own. These two are the first purchases and I'll buy one or two each year until I have a good selection. The 'Christmas Days' has had good reviews and will be the one I start with. The other one, 'The Christmas Secret', is the one I mentioned in a recent post - I'm not sure why I chose it as I very much doubt that it'll be one I want to reread every year, but you never know.
