Photo Pairs
I sacrificed my diet to get the linked photos for Helena's Photo Pairs this week, but it was worth every single calorie that passed my lips. Sorry the photos aren't sharp, but I was concentrating more on the cheesecake than the actual focusing of the images! I give you ...
BEFORE & AFTER
That looks delicious. There are a few crumbs still to go!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant!! The things we do for our art, the sacrifices we make, all so worth it with this fabulous Pair.

ReplyDeleteThe cheesecake looks delicious and oh, the sacrifices one makes for the sake of photography! But, what really caught my eye was the pastry fork! A friend of mine (who lives in Europe) and I were discussing (emailing) about pastry forks, recently. She was mentioning how shocked she was to have been served a piece of cake with a spoon on a long ago visit to the U.S., instead of a pastry fork and I said that pastry forks weren't usually included in the regular cutlery sets, unless one buys the fancier sets or order them specially. Although, in my experience, cakes are more often served with regular forks and not spoons. I don't have any pastry forks, myself; just regular forks. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pastry forks are all that remains of the huge cutlery set we had for years. At various times I passed the other pieces in the set to my nephews and a friend's daughters when they went off to university but I kept the pastry forks as they seem to be difficult to get hold of now.
