Wednesday

I will be sleeping downstairs tonight as the staircase and landing have been painted. This is a very short post as I’m using my phone (I can’t get to my laptop which is upstairs and the scaffold ladder thing is blocking my access). I’ve been in the kitchen for most of the day and now have 20 portions for the freezer. I’ll do the same again tomorrow and then I won’t have to worry for a while.

  1. What a productive day you have had so far. Hopefully stairs dry so you can get into your bed tomorrow night.

    1. It’s not looking promising- I think the stairs will still be blocked by the scaffold ladder thing ( takes too long to assemble so it’s best to leave it is position). I will probably stay with family/friend tonight!

  2. Oh wow! When you say bulk cooking, you really mean bulk cooking! Bon appetit!
    (And bonne nuit for now.)

    1. Yes, I find it’s the best way to eat healthily and cheaply and still have plenty of variety. I have too many days when I don’t feel well enough to cook so bulk cooking and freezing in portions means I still have a home cooked meal on those days.

  3. That's wonderful that you were able to get all that bulk cooking done! I was very glad I had frozen some servings of my tomato soup, because it meant I didn't have to cook dinner some nights. :)

    1. I used to do this all the time but got out of the habit if doing it properly. This does make a big difference to how well I eat, so it’s important that I get myself organised again!

  4. I ~love~ this picture, it's how I prepare stuff all the time!

Just started putting the makings of hot lunches in those lovely Lakeland tubs in the freezer, so that if I'm having a "working in the garden all day" sort of day I can have something sensible to eat without having to stop for too long.

    1. Great minds think alike! My food bill is definitely cheaper by cooking in bulk.
