Advent Calendar Door 2

Christmas tree bauble (taken on the recent photo hunt at the Bath Christmas Market)

I've opened the 2nd drawer on my Advent Calendar and found a gift today - the new Harry Potter adult colouring book. It's time to stop resisting this latest craze and have a go, so that's this afternoon sorted!

I also have a combined first time/Christmas activity planned for this morning:  I'm trying out the local adult recorder group for the first time, where we will be playing a selection of Christmas music.

Hope you all have a fun day.

  1. I like your beautiful ornament photo - is that blown glass? Did you buy for your tree? Such lovely colour swirls & texture. I was given a mandala colouring book, it is so much fun, hope you enjoy Harry & friends.

    1. It is beautiful but I didn't buy it. It's the wrong colour for my colour scheme of red and gold and anyway, it cost £25 or more. It's a Bath blue glass handmade bauble - well out of my price range!

  2. Sounds like fun with the recorder group :) I have heard of lots of adults getting into coloring; I loved coloring with the kids when they were young; might have to take it back up again.

  3. Oooh, yay re the adult recorder group- I forgot you were a musician!!! Are you already a recorder player or is this a new venture? Are you brass or woodwind peri? I forget! Nice bauble!

    1. Yes, I taught brass and woodwind as a peri in primary schools. I already play all the different sizes of recorders and am still running a couple of children's recorder clubs.

The adult group was good fun - I had a great time today.
