Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt | The TARDIS Toilet and Other Photos!
Yesterday I arranged to meet my friend, S, at the Warmley Waiting Room Café. This venue was chosen as I knew about their Doctor Who TARDIS toilet and wanted to photograph it for the Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt.
The café is tiny and is housed in the converted railway station waiting room. The one thing the café needed to operate was a toilet for staff and visitors, and this is what they had made. It's brilliant (although you may need to be a Doctor Who nut to fully appreciate it!). This is for No 12 | a public restroom, bathroom, or toilet.

It's a popular background for photographs and the people in the kitchen can apparently flip a switch so that the lights flash and the TARDIS sound is heard. For those who may not know what I mean, here's a Youtube video of the TARDIS sounds ...
S then very kindly posed with her umbrella so I'm claiming this for Alternative B | Someone holding an umbrella.
We went for a wander along the path and into Warmley Forest Park where I saw my final offering for today ... No 7 | a turtle. Normally, I'd be annoyed at this sort of graffiti, but admit to being secretly pleased on this occasion as it gave me a photo for one of the prompts!
That's the only photos for the scavenger hunt but here are the rest of the ones from today. The next three were taken in the Forest Park. It was a really hot sunny day so it was lovely to be in the shade of the trees.
The final photo was taken on the way home near the Cold Ashton roundabout and is the first wild poppies I've seen so far this year.
The Tardis toilet is genius!!! And so pretty inside too :)

ReplyDeletean excellent scavenger hunt trip - looks a lovely place to visit
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to take part in this scavenger hunt too, I'm a bit worried about whipping out my hone in a public loo! I love this Tardis though - what a fab idea.
ReplyDelete*phone. Obviously ;)
ReplyDeleteYou've given me a new ambition in life. I have to pay that tardis a visit
ReplyDeleteOooh fancy getting two wonderful toilets when some of us are struggling to find one!
ReplyDeleteExcellent turtle find too - labelled and everything! Too good to be true!
I'm not much of a Doctor Who fan, but I would have to check out the bathroom :) What a pretty area with the shade to take pictures of!

Excellent photos - what a wonderful toilet! The Warmley Forest park looks wonderful at this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful 'rest room'! I do love it when people think outside the box - and the ladies in the tea room must have great fun with the sound effect button. I was in Norfolk last week and saw fields of poppies, aren't they a stunning sight?
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant public toilet!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the turtle is very special.
