Me on Monday

Me on Monday ... feeling relaxed. Only two more weeks and one day of teaching and then a break until mid September.  I can't wait!

Saturday morning was the usual band practice and then the rest of the day was spent catching up with friends who have just returned to this country after living abroad for years. We've kept in touch with regular letters and emails over the years, but it's not the same as actually being in the same room together is it? They're travelling round meeting up with family and friends for the next few weeks and they're not sure where they will eventually make their home but at least they will be in the same country so it should be much easier to see each other in the future.

Sunday was a relaxing at home sort of day. No rushing about.  No housework. Just pottering about doing what I fancied.  Julie brought some more of her things round to store and this time she came alone, so we were able to have a proper chat together, which we haven't done in ages.  Maybe we just all rush about too much?

Today, I've managed to dodge the rain and stay dry when arriving at, and leaving from, my Monday schools.  It's been raining hard most of the day but I walked out of my final school to find brilliant sunshine and a beautiful blue sky. Hope it stays like this as I hope to go to Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove later in the week.

  1. I bet you are looking forward to your summer break!! Neat that you were able to spend some time with friends while they are in your country. It is always an adventure to figure out where one might decide to make their home. Such a beautiful flower you shared here!

  5. It's lovely to meet up with friends you don't see often. Good to hear they are moving back so you can get to see them more.
