Friday

After a good rest yesterday I feel ready to tackle some more tasks, but I won't go crazy. Today I will be kitchen based to cook up the two new recipes I've chosen for this month plus a couple of other meals to go in the freezer.

Once it's all bubbling away I want to photograph the dining table and chairs but will have to move the part completed jigsaw puzzle upstairs before I can get started. I like the set but it's just a bit too big for the available space so I've decided to advertise it for sale. Once it's sold I'll replace it with a smaller, extending circular table and chairs which I think will look much better in the room.

That's about it for the day. I think the threat of snow has gone as we are now promised rain for the rest of the week. Never mind!

    1. Thanks Bless. I've enjoyed cooking up the different recipes ... a morning in the kitchen is always good fun.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the set sells.

  2. Sounds like a quiet day planned. I like being busy in the kitchen with all the wonderful smells waffling & blending. Happy weekend.

    1. Sadly I have no sense of smell so lose out on that aspect of the process, but cooking is definitely an activity I enjoy.

  3. I'm glad you're feeling better. Hope the new recipes go well. It's been a while since I tried cooking anything new. Lately I feel like I'm a hamster stuck on a wheel going round and round with nothing new!

    1. That feeling you describe is exactly why I am trying some new things. Just to ring the changes and add variety where I can.

  4. Hi Eileen,
    How are you?
Right now we have to live life as calmly as possible!
The kitchen is a good alternative. I hope you can change the table and chairs soon.
Here also Dora storm. Cold and rain and snow in the mountains!
I take this opportunity to wish you a good weekend.
    Hugs,
    Ailime

    1. I'm fine thanks Ailime.

I'm not sure if this close to Christmas is a good time to sell the dining set but it's worth a try.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and that the storm soon passes.

    1. I had the Mediterranean pork today and it's a keeper. The curry has been cooked and I have a portion in the fridge for tomorrow - I always think curries are better on the second day.

Thanks. I am feeling better, both physically and emotionally. xx

  6. Trying new recipes sounds like fun :) It's good you can be flexible about the furniture. I'm glad you're feeling better.

    1. I like to try out new recipes from time to time. The ones I decide to use again quite often evolve because I like to tweak them and play about a bit

I think I will make more use of the room with a slightly smaller table and I also want to get one with a wipe clean top rather than the current solid wood one.

Thanks, I am feeling much better.
