Monthly Photo Challenge: Blue

I'm late to my own party ... sorry!

The theme for the September challenge was 'blue'. The majority of my photos were taken in and around Devizes and I think are self explanatory. The blue logo on the school top is for the school C goes to and the Tardis biscuit jar in the final photos is one that used to belong to Ced and which I now treasure.

The challenge is to take photos on the set theme; the photos must be taken during the month (no archive photos), a minimum of five photos but no upper limit, and there will be a new theme every month. The theme for October is 'autumn' and I'll post a linky at the end of the month  Have fun!

Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the September challenge. Here's the linky  .... please link to your challenge post, not just to your blog.

  2. Lots of shades of blue. I felt bad for the lost face mask, it was a pretty pattern. As Dr Who fans, the Tardis biscuit jar is a favourite.

    1. The only problem with the jar is that it isn't air tight so is useless for keeping biscuits fresh ... it only has one thing to do and it fails! Are you a Doctor Who fan too?

    2. But does it hold more biscuits than you'd expect?

I like your selection. Should have thought of a blue plaque - aaagh! Like the door and what a shame about the mask. (I might have been tempted to rescue it.)

    3. Ced always insisted that the biscuits were safer in his tummy so I didn't get to find out how many the TARDIS could hold! It's a proper TARDIS, not a china model, so it should hold more biscuits than we could ever eat!

  4. Ha, ha, you are allowed to be fashionably late to your own party so you could make a grand entrance! :D Wonderful selection of photos! Loved seeing the boats on the canal!

Autumn for October - it will be a bit of a challenge, but, I am game for it! :)

    1. We can always have two themes 'Autumn' or 'October' and then you can include Halloween as well. Let me know if you'd like me to change it.

I fell in love with the boat in the first photo. I'd like to own that one.

    2. Thank you, but, I think Autumn will be OK. I'll have to get creative! :D

    3. Okay, I will leave the theme as 'autumn'. I'm looking forward to seeing your creativity x

  5. Wonderful photos! I especially like the blue door. I did quite a few door photos while in England. I find them quite interesting

    1. Thanks Sharon. I seem to have taken lots of photos of doors lately ... there's something about them, isn't there, and so much variety.

  6. I love your blue selection. Another friend worked in Brownston House until she retired - a few years ago now.

    1. Thanks Joy. I don't have much blue at home so it forced me to go out to get the photos. Brownston House looks like an interesting place but I don't know if it's open to the public. What did your friend do there?
