Normal-ish Service Has Resumed!
Thank you all so much for your kind messages on my previous post. The antibiotics did their job and I'm happy to report that I am feeling much better than I was. I'm still feeling very tired but decided that it was time to get back to normal life so yesterday I met up with some friends to take some photos.
It was the first meeting of my new photo group so I didn't want to postpone it and I'm glad I went ... an hour outdoors taking photos blew away some of the cobwebs and the company of friends lifted my mood. The photo group is for people using their phone cameras and today was a scavenger hunt with ten words to find photos for. We met at 10 am in Westbury and separated to search for our photos as soon as I'd issued the list, meeting in a café an hour later to share our results. Here are mine ....

The morning was a complete success and I've had messages from the others to say how much they enjoyed themselves. I now have a month to come up with the next set of words ... we'll be meeting in Trowbridge Park if it's dry, or in St James Church if it's raining.

If all goes well I hope to get round to read your blogs today. Don't worry if I'm not posting every day ... I'm fine but will be taking things one day at a time for a while. It's good to be back though!
So glad that you are feeling better and to see you posting again. Lovely photos, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bless. xx

ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. I don't have quite as many people in the group as I'd like but it was a good start and hopefully, more will be interested for next month. xx

Thanks Sue. I think it was you that mentioned 'Something Snappy' over on your blog and I thought it was the perfect name for the group so I pinched the idea! xx

DeleteI am glad to see you back and that you are feeling better. I like the photos of the post box and phone box the red looks so warm. Helen S.
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen. Red is my favourite colour so of course it had to be included in the first ever hunt for the new group! xx
DeleteThe marvels of medication & fresh air. Glad to read you are feeling much better. You have put a lot of work into making the photo walks aka scavenger searches fun for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary-Lou. I really enjoy the scavenger hunts and these immediate ones are good fun ... only an hour to find the photos and then an hour for everyone to show what they found to the rest of the group, so over and done with in one morning. xx
DeleteSounds like a really nice idea for a group and the pictures are brilliant. So glad you are back on your feet and feeling brighter now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ella. I really enjoyed the immediacy of the hunt and the fact that there was a time limit of one hour to find all the photos. From the feedback, it worked well for everyone so am looking forward to future sessions. xx
