Books

Last week, I was sure that all my books had been packed and I was relieved that that stage of the packing was complete ... I have a lot of books. It seems I was wrong about that as yesterday I acquired a load more!

I knew about this one as it was included in the price of last night's ticket. It was an interesting evening listening to Tim Spector talking and answering audience questions, and I feel I learned a lot. Best of all it confirmed a couple of things for me and I now feel confident that the 30 different plant foods each week coupled with eating the rainbow, and intermittent fasting is the best way for me to improve my health and lose weight. His cook book has loads of lovely recipes, all labelled with the number of plants foods in each recipe which will make it easy to include a variety of plant foods in my diet. Niall bought a copy as well, and we are choosing three recipes each to try out first.

This next book was a gift from Niall. Quite why he thinks I need to pull myself together I don't know, but feel it's probably best not to ask! I've only dipped into a couple of chapters so far, but I think it'll be a good read.

And finally, my sister sent round another bag of books. I haven't finished the last lot yet but these are appreciated and will all get read in time.

  1. Glad you enjoyed your evening and the talk you attended. I've not kept up trying the 30 plant based foods, but, I might try to get back to it. The problem is, I keep eating the same things, over and over again and they only count the first time. I hope you will post some of the tips from the second book - I'm sure I could do with some help pulling myself together! Enjoy your reading!

  2. What a lovely lot of books! I'm a book hoarder...whoops lover myself. I can't resist them! The cook book sounds quite interesting. I certainly need to do better with food. We have a complicated relationship ;)
