Yesterday was MoT day for my car. Thankfully, it passed so I don't have to worry about that for another year.
Today will be an 'at home' day. I intend to carry on with the packing but I am running out of space to store the packed boxes in places where they won't be in my way. I'm not supposed to be lifting anything, so I will have to ask one of my nephew or one of my friends to re-stack the packed boxes to make some more space. Can anyone explain why packing up a home is never ending? I originally thought it wouldn't take long as "I don't have much anymore". Famous last words! I still seem to have loads and I just can't believe I need it all. There will be some serious decluttering when I unpack at the new place!
We've started watching 'Night Agent' on Netflix. There's only one series of ten episodes so far, but series two is due to be released later this year. We're three episodes in so far and both of us are enjoying it. It's another good series for us to binge watch.
Oh, and one bit of good news to end with. I've lost 4lbs since I weighed myself two weeks ago. I'm just trying to eat sensibly rather than following a specific diet, so smaller meals and no takeaways. I started monitoring how many plant foods I eat in a week, aiming for 30. So far this week, so Monday and Tuesday, I've eaten 21 different ones.😁
That's good news on the diet.
ReplyDeleteI swear that 'stuff' expands to fill available space, no matter what you do. Sending hugs x
I wholeheartedly agree ... stuff definitely expands to fit the available space. My current problem can't possibly be anything to do with all the things I've bought since I moved into this house! xx
DeleteWell done car and well done you too. Eating sensibly with lots of plants is the way to go, I really believe that. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy. Without being vegetarian, a predominantly plant based diet seems to suits me and I'm feeling much better on it. xx
DeleteI got rid of masses of 'stuff' when we were packing up to move, I was on 1st name terms with the tip men! And when we got to our new house, unpacked and the first place we went to was the tip and charity shop. Several more visits have been made but getting there now. Hugs Xx
ReplyDeleteAt least its not only me then. I am definitely following in your footsteps! xx
