Feeling Stressed!
This will be the first day I've felt well enough to continue with the packing so that's what I'll carry on with today. I don't plan to overdo it today, but if I can finish packing all the ornaments I will be a happy bunny. I think I still have plenty of time to get it all packed away but moving day will be here before I know it (even though one of solicitors is dragging his heels) so I'd prefer to be ready when that happens.
I'm doing well with emptying the freezers. The large freezer in the garage is nearly empty so in a few more days I should be able to transfer the remaining contents to the kitchen freezer and get the garage freezer defrosted and ready for the move. I'll be glad to get that done to avoid a last minute panic of it not being ready!
The rest of the garage is pretty much ready. We've done two trips to the recycling yard and there will probably one final one just before moving day. These trips are easy on me in my supervisory role but not so much for Niall, who is doing all the heavy listing!
What makes you think I am starting to stress about being ready even though the moving date isn't known yet? I'll feel much more relaxed when I know I've got it all ready and done all that I can in preparation for the Big Day.
Sending all hugs. I hope that you can take it steady as you go.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the occasional break will help but here's a quiz with elephant jokes https://www.sporcle.com/games/Thebiguglyalien/elephant-jokes-ii and if you scroll down below the quiz on the left there is a playlist with daft jokes in. Sometimes a 'why did an elephant paint its toenails red? To hide in a cherry tree. Have you ever see an elephant hide in a cherry tree? See, it works!' set of jokes can lift spirits.
Good luck.
Good luck with today's packing. You certainly have been on a roller coaster ride with all the health situations along with the uncertainty about move day to the new house. I'd would be more than stressed. Yeah for friends like Niall to help with the heavy lifting.
ReplyDeleteWell done with all the packing and its a nightmare waiting on solicitors. When we moved ours were fine but our buyer's solicitor was so nit-picky. I got rid of masses of stuff pre moving but in our first week at the new house made 3/4 trips to the tip and same to charity shop too. Good luck on a moving date soon and fingers crossed for you. Xx
ReplyDeleteIt can be very difficult when you want to get on and plan, but the situation is out of your control. I am no good at sitting on my hands. Arilx
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you are doing the packing and getting ready. I find that it takes me longer to do things like packing these days and I get tired more quickly than I used to. So, having as much done before hand as possible sounds like a good way to go about getting ready for the move.
