Out and About with Niall

I had quite a successful day yesterday and managed to get four more boxes packed before I ran out of energy, so I have awarded myself a day off from packing today, and will be going out with Niall.

He is looking for a property in this area and has an appointment in town to view an apartment, so I'm tagging along to give him the benefit of my experience be nosy! We'll go for a meal afterwards and then will have some time to kill before driving to The Forum in Bath to see Tim Spector in conversation with Gaby Roslin. I'm hoping the weather will play ball so I can use that time to take some more photos, but we'll see how it goes.

While we're in town I also plan to speak to the Estate Agent to see if he know what the delay is with the people selling the bungalow and if he knows why they are not responding to my solicitor's enquiries. I don't know whether it will achieve anything but it will at least make me feel that I am doing something to try to get the process moving again. Fingers crossed that it does make a difference and gets the purchasing process back on track.

  1. it is most definitely worth pestering the estate agents - they dont get paid until the sale goes through. My son's house purchase was lingering with nothing much happening until he started on the estate agent having had no joy with the solicitors etc and it definitely sped up once they were on board

  2. Enjoy your day! Hope you were able to speak with the Estate Agent (I'm assuming they are like our Realtors?)

  3. According to those who measure these things, moving house is up there with death and divorce when it comes to stress. Sending hugs x

    1. It certainly is. Buying and selling property these days is nothing like it used to be some years ago. Solicitors check every single detail and although it seems a very lengthy process it is worthwhile. Estate agents will tell you that the market has changed considerably and that buying and selling takes far, far longer these days.
