Wednesday 31st August

243/365: verbena

Everything happened as planned yesterday and I had a great day. Miss C showed me her updated family tree and I chatted with her about what to do next. She's done really well so far and I'm impressed by the progress she's made. I think she's hooked on genealogy as a hobby as she's talking about also researching her maternal grandmother's line as well.

Personal training was good and I'm happy to be back to regular sessions. Amy added a new exercise and tweaked one of the old ones to up the difficulty, and I can definitely feel that extra bit of difficulty today ... my body is aching in all the right places!

It was a great evening with J. I really enjoyed binge watching the first few episodes of the Jack Reacher series and we will repeat the session tonight and then again on Friday to finish it all off.

Today will be a quieter day. I need to do some shopping this morning, just bits and bobs to keep me going. I should really be doing the big shop for the batch cooking and to restock the cupboards today but I'll fit that in for next week now that I know I'll be round J's home tomorrow and Friday. I want to be back home for 10 o'clock when the nutrition class starts, it's healthy teeth and gums today, and then I want to settle down and do some proper piano practice. I haven't heard from C yet about when my piano lessons will restart and whether I will still have the same lesson slot ... I'll text her if I haven't heard from her by the weekend.

I haven't decided on what I want to do this afternoon yet and will see what I feel like doing later on. I have the choice between going out for a photo walk, starting a new jigsaw puzzle, or picking a new book and spending the afternoon reading.

  1. Glad to read that you had a great day, yesterday, and Miss C seems to like genealogy!

Hope you have a good day, today, too. I like all of the options for your afternoon! :) My only option for tomorrow afternoon will be to keep cool! According to the forecast, it will be 108F/42C, tomorrow.

    1. That is going to be unbearable! I do hope you are able to keep cool. It's much cooler here, a predicted high of 23°c today but currently cooler than that.

I've chosen to read this afternoon and I will probably have a nap or two as well

I'm really happy that Miss C is loving the genealogy and especially nice to share an interest with her.
