240/365: petunias in the 'Eton Mess' hanging basket

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • helping Miss C start her family tree research ... she's looking at her Mum's family and has made a really good start on the paternal line
  • taking Miss H shopping to buy her stationery for senior school
  • being able to eat my meals at the table again!
  • receiving some adorable videos of Little Man singing, dancing, and reading his book
  • inviting L to lunch
  • enjoying a visit from L&P ... "we're only stopping for a couple of hours" turned into an overnight stay!
  • meeting with J for our overdue meal at the King's Arms
  • adding more dates to my diary
  • finally sorting out my meal planning
  • loving that there is still plenty of colour in the garden

I am grateful ...
  • for the rain we've had in this area ... just about enough to keep the garden happy
  • for S' help in finishing off the dining room
  • for being able to monitor my daily gas and electric usage via the Smart meter

Lifestyle changes
  • daily walk: Achieved
  • weekly personal training session: No session this week so I did extra exercises at home
  • twice a week - 2 x 10 reps of each of three exercises: Achieved

  1. You had a very good week and guests who stay overnight that's wonderful. The flowers in your hanging basket are lovely, so nice your garden is still looking colourful with the much needed rain you've had.

    1. Thanks Eileen. It has been a good week, much more social than usual. The garden is still looking good but there are signs that autumn will soon be here. We haven't had as much rain as we need so I hope the arrival of autumn changes that. xx
