Weekly Reflections

142/365: it's starting to fill out!

Reasons to be cheerful ...

  • phoning, texting and emailing with family and friends
  • enjoying watching the 'Les Misérables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary' on TV
  • enjoying a lovely morning spend chatting with Joy
  • spending time with H and sharing an indoor picnic
  • accepting delivery of a few more plants (a few more = 7 😀), with one more, plus the hanging baskets due any day
  • receiving an invitation to a Jubilee party in the Close - unfortunately I already have tickets for something else so can't attend, but it was lovely to get the invite!
  • adding some more dates to the diary

I am grateful ...
  • for a relatively speedy recovery from a migraine
  • for the NHS and for the treatment my brother is receiving
  • for all the rain we've had this week

Lifestyle changes
  • daily walk. Achieved  5 days out of 7
  • daily knee strengthening. Achieved 4 days out of 7

  1. How lovely that your Close is having a street party but a shame you will miss it. I'm glad you are feeling better after that migraine and I know for sure your brother is in safe hands. Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

    1. It's being organised by the same people who arrange the Christmas street party. It's a shame to miss it but I bought my ticket ages ago and that's non refundable.

Thanks Eileen and I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend too.

  2. Sounds like a good week. I learned a new British word - close. We call those cul de sacs over here. I might have had "a few more" chocolate candies this week than my diet calls for. '-) And your garden is filling out quite nicely!!

    1. We call them cul-de-sacs as well. 'Close' is part of the street name so that's how it's referred to by the people who live here.

I didn't realise it was possible to have too many chocolate candies 😂

  3. Your garden if full of flowers! It looks really pretty!
Another good week with many things to be cheerful and grateful about. I am especially glad that your brother is receiving the care he needs and I am keeping him in my prayers for good health. It's a shame you will have to miss out on the Jubilee party, but, I know you will enjoy the event you've bought tickets to attend. :)

    1. Thanks Bless, all that rain has encouraged plenty of growth and it's all looking very good.

I'm looking forward to my Jubilee treat so I'm not too disappointed ... all will be revealed after the 3rd!

      I've emailed you.
